Accessibility Policy: Connect2Talent Network Website

Connect2Talent Network is committed to providing a digitally inclusive environment that respects the dignity and independence of all Ontarians. We strive to ensure our website is accessible to individuals with disabilities by removing barriers and meeting the standards set forth under the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA).

1. Statement of Commitment

Connect2Talent Network believes in integration and equal opportunity. We are dedicated to meeting the needs of persons with disabilities in a timely manner and will do so by preventing and removing accessibility barriers on our digital platforms.

2. Website Accessibility Standards

Our goal is to ensure our public website and web-based applications conform to the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0 Level AA. These standards ensure our content is:

  • Perceivable: Information and user interface components are presented in ways users can perceive (e.g., alt-text for images).
  • Operable: Interface components and navigation are usable (e.g., keyboard-only navigation).
  • Understandable: Information and the operation of the user interface are clear.
  • Robust: Content can be interpreted reliably by a wide variety of user agents, including assistive technologies like screen readers.

3. Accessible Formats & Communication Supports

Upon request, we will provide or arrange for the provision of accessible formats and communication supports for persons with disabilities in a timely manner. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • HTML and Microsoft Word documents.
  • Large print or high-contrast versions.
  • Text transcripts for audio and visual information.
  • Accessible audio formats.

4. Recruitment & Employment Accessibility

In alignment with our mission to connect talent, our website's job portal and recruitment processes include:

  • Notifications: Informing applicants that accommodations are available upon request for all stages of the recruitment process.
  • Individualized Support: Consulting with applicants to provide suitable accommodations that take into account their specific accessibility needs.

5. Feedback Process

We welcome feedback on how we can improve accessibility for persons with disabilities. Users may contact us through the following channels:

  • Email: info@connect2talentnetwork.ca

All feedback will be reviewed, and we will work with the individual to address any issues or provide information in an alternate format as needed.

6. Policy Review

Connect2Talent Network will review and update this policy at least every five years to ensure it remains current with evolving AODA regulations and technological advancements.
